[He's also feeling a little nostalgic for some reason. Thinking back to when they were partners.

Eugh, he's thinking about being Shirou.]

[ A spar? She has to admit, she's surprised to hear this from Archer... though at the same time, the nostalgic feeling is mutual... even if from her perspective, it hasn't exactly been that long.

Looking back... every time they had crossed swords in the Grail War, it had been as enemies. The thought of a simple spar with him has her... intrigued? Excited? It's a complicated emotion that's oddly hard for her to describe. ]

You wish to spar? That is fine by me. I must keep up my own sword skills as well.

[ A simple answer, as usual. She's gotten better at swinging her sword without magical assistance, so Archer will be a good opponent for her. ]

[It's probably the fact he's been so domestic here that's made him think more like Shirou, which is kind of creepy and he hates it so please spar with him so he gets some adrenaline in his veins.]

Are you available now? I was thinking about heading out to train anyway.

I am. In that case, I shall join you.

[ Their last battle was when Caster had just been defeated, and after she made a contract with Rin, she had promptly gone from struggling against him to frankly steamrolling him.

Of course, now their levels were similar, so she was intrigued to see how well Archer would fare against her in comparison to her sparring matches with Shirou back home. ]

[Looking for Shirou all over the city is not how Rin thought this month would start, but oh boy, she and Saber have been looking everywhere from him! Then again, it's not like Shirou getting into trouble (or trouble finding him) and him needing help there would be anything new, but this is different.

By now it's clear, that Shirou's nowhere to be found and the stupid smart devices can't reach his number either... It's not like Rin hasn't seen this happening before because this happened A LOT back in Lunatia too whenever the world decided to randomly send some people back into their home worlds to -- whatever's waiting for them there.

Rin sits next to Saber on their bed in the new arrivals hotel room. She's trying to call to him one more time! Maybe that stupid idiot just dropped his phone or something? Nope, still no luck with reaching him with that thing. Tohsaka sighs. No use in denying the obvious facts.]

Seems like he really isn't in this world anymore.

[ It's... hard to respond. Saber had definitely tried to find him, and she spared no effort in doing so... but still, he really was nowhere to be found. She wants to believe that he's still here... but Rin has pointed out the obvious fact that Shirou Emiya... isn't here. ]

Rin...

[ She glances up at Rin. How is she taking this? ]

[Rin takes a moment before she shrugs as if she's trying to shake it off as if it's nothing.]

Anyone can disappear at any time. It happens almost all the time in these different worlds.

[It's fine. Totally fine. She's used to people leaving, it's why she almost never lets almost anyone into her life these days.]

We'll see him again whenever this place decides to send us back too.

[She huffs while she keeps staring at a corner like it's the most interesting thing here. Rin definitely wouldn't trust in her luck with Shirou coming back. Or at least it probably wouldn't be her/their Shirou.]

You speak as though you are familiar with this...

[ As much as Saber thought highly of Rin, as excellent and stunning of a person Rin is, even if Rin was her 'Master'... Saber would always consider Shirou to be her true Master. She'd made an oath, after all.

It's... hard for her to speak. She should probably say something else, but she doesn't. ]

[There's the New Year's Countdown and naturally Rin leads Saber to one of the highest places in the city to watch the upcoming show with her. It's the perfect place to see the fireworks, it's dark, not too far away from there and not even crowded considering there are other similar places too.

So, now they're waiting there with a few minutes left until midnight and Rin's staying next to her, looking cheerful and happy to be there even when they're standing around and doing nothing else. It's not like she'd rather be anywhere else right now, really.]

These better be the best fireworks I've ever seen.

[It's a challenge, Camelot, good luck with not losing it!! also maybe Shirou and Archer were around too but ignoring them for this thread.]

[ Well, to be fair, it's not like Saber's seen a lot of fireworks... and if she has, it wouldn't compare much to the level these ones were at. In any case, while she looks out at the sight of this world and the fireworks... there's a warm feeling. It may not be her kingdom exactly, but seeing it in a state of celebration like this... it was nice.

On top of that, Rin was here! Spending time with Rin... well, it just made things better, and Saber couldn't exactly explain it. In any case, Saber looks happy... and even with only the light of fireworks, the smile on her face is clear to see. ]

[Honestly? Rin has no doubt that they will be the best fireworks ever. They'll be literally magical, this isn't Lunatia and it's ... questionable choices with some things, so they'll look better than fireworks there and most importantly? She gets to see literally magical fireworks with Saber and Rin's very biased about her being the best company to this. And Rin likes this world a lot, it's definitely nice seeing this kind of a celebration here, yes.

Tohsaka tries to pay most of her attention to the fireworks. She's really trying to do that!! Rin looks happy too and she is genuinely happy... But that happy look on Saber's face keeps stealing her attention. She's just way too cute, Rin keeps glancing at her all the time while she's standing right next to her now.]

[It was not long after getting hit by Archer's arrow that Caster found herself wandering in a daze around town. She wasn't sure what to do with herself, filled with all the warm fuzzy feelings that she was.

Fortunately for her - and unfortunately for Saber - Caster spotted her as she was running some errands, and realised exactly what was missing! It wasn't like she had started hoarding a bunch of cute outfits for no reason, after all.]

Saber~ There you are. I've been looking all over for you!

[ Saber turned her head in surprise to Caster's appearance. Normally, her reaction would call for her to be wary... especially with Caster's tone of voice. Archer's cupid arrow, however, is still in effect. ]

Caster? Why would you be looking for me?

[ A welcoming reply... this can only end well. ]

[Caster was very happy that Saber wasn't responding with the usual suspicion - all the better for her!]

I brought you presents... you will come and try them on, won't you? You're going to look adorable all dressed up~!

['Luckily' for Caster, a few people had actually given her a bit of a hand in learning how to use the phones better... but what she'd learnt had come with a few concerning implications.

And so. She had to reach out to Saber, somewhat dreading the answer she'd get back.]

[ Oh, right, she had honestly forgotten that she had those images... still, it's clear that Caster has come to some sort of realization. She can't help but chuckle a bit before quickly regaining her composure. ]

Yes, it is a very simple function, after all. Capturing an image that is on the screen is surely a simple feature, correct?

[ While Archer and Rin enjoy their gifts, Saber's arrives in a separate package, one carefully prepared, as if its contents were particularly fragile.

It's a photo, one enhanced to play more like a small video when touched, of Saber, Gawain, and Gareth when they had posed for a photo together during the tournament in Celliwig, all looking pretty beat up, but smiling as brightly as stars...

There's truffles, too. A double batch. And a card, that reads; ]

[As soon as they get to their room in the castle with the door closed and locked behind them, Rin turns around and closes any remaining distance between her and Saber. Finally alone with her for the rest of the night without needing to hold back at all. It's not like they are in a rush with anything but that kiss in the gathering sure felt like they are both getting impatient..

So, Rin doesn't really even waste anytime with how soon she's the one initiating the kiss this time. Except it really won't be just one kiss, when she leans to kiss Saber's lips passionately like she has been waiting for this make out and everything else for the whole evening.]

[ Saber can't say she expected things to turn out this way... put simply, she drank more than she expected, and even with her having a higher tolerance for alcohol than one would expect from a girl her size... well, there was still a limit, and she passed that limit a long time ago.

She kisses back... though Rin's passion quickly overwhelms her and takes lead, Saber's arms wrapping around Rin's body to bring them closer. ]

[Admittedly? Tohsaka is surprised by how much Saber has been drinking or how much she herself drank there too. It happens, not like she is gonna start complaining about it but it sure is surprising... Besides she kind of expected tonight to go like sitting somewhere in that gathering with special guest star Merlin... But Rin sure as hell would choose Saber's company instead of anyone or anything else anytime, so this is even better than anything happening there.]

Mm~.

[Saber could tell her to stop or slow down anytime, but Rin has no problems leading this thing. Her arms wrap around her too, for the moment, and she is slowly leading them towards the bed, while she keeps kissing her.]

[If he wanted to tell both her and Rin at the same time, he'd have asked in person. This was something he wanted to tell individually. Besides, Archer had been acting a little distant for the past few days prior to this.]

[ She takes notice of the fact that he went out of his way to message her privately, and so she heads over, knocking lightly on the door to his room. ]

Archer? It's me.

[He doesn't look so good, but he wants to get one thing out of the way first.]

This has nothing to do with us, Rin or the whole relationship. I'm happy with it and would like to still continue... depending on how you feel about me after this conversation.
